Evie Press is a composer, lyricist, writer, dramaturg, and director. She took her first musical to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022 to 5-star reviews and graduated from Leeds Conservatoire with an MA in Musical Theatre Creation in 2024. Her latest work, Choreomania, premiered at the Birmingham Hippodrome with British Youth Music Theatre.

Evie’s work explores themes of identity, community, and politics, through stories of medieval London mayors, rural funeral homes, and supernatural American road trips. Her music blends the storytelling of musical theatre with the lyricism of folk, inspired by heart-on-sleeve songwriting regardless of genre.
